Southern Praline Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
A tsp of cinnamon
Halved pecans
3/4 c of shortening
1/2 c of molasses
3/4 c of sugar
1 pkg of butterscotch chips (6 ozs)
1 pc of egg
1/2 tsp of salt
1.5 tsps of baking soda
2 1/4 c of flour
1/2 tsp of ginger
Instructions:
Mix shortening together w/ sugar and beat ’til fluffy. Then, mix molasses together w/ a pc of egg. Blend thoroughly.
Sift dry ingredients together and incorporate well. Add in morsels of butterscotch. Refrigerate the mixture for approxiamtely 2-3 hours.
Shape mixture to balls, then roll the balls in sugar. Put the balls in a cookie sheet (greased), and then top individual balls w/ one pecan half. Finally, bake the balls at 375 degrees F (10 to 12 minutes).
