Delicious Choco-Oatmeal Cookies: No Baking Required!

Chocolate & oatmeal cookies that don’t require any baking are always great recipes to have because they’re fuss free and easily made. So for emergency gatherings or even during kid’s playtime session or actually anytime at all you would not have problems with making them because they can be done in a jiffy without slaving over that hot oven.

Recipes for no-bake cookies have always been a part of my own childhood years and it might have also been a part of your own childhood years too. The recipes for these cookies have always been here for quite some time now and you might just have missed it because they go by different recipe names & variations from its original one.

I have 1 recipe here for no-bake oatmeal choco cookies that you should try out then you should also experiment with it using different ingredients after you have successfully achieved mastering the basics.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 c milk
2 c white sugar
3 tbsps powdered cocoa (unsweetened)
3 tbsps crunchy peanut butter
1/2 c butter
3 c oats (rolled)
1 tsp vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

1. Wipe a 1-inch wide band of butter around the rim of a 3 quart pan to prevent boil-over.
2. Combine milk, sugar, cocoa, butter & peanut butter.
3. Stir and bring to a rolling boil on medium flame. Let boil for around 1.5 minutes, do not stir.
4. Remove from heat. Add in oats & vanilla. Continue stirring just until oats are evenly distributed.
5. Drop them by teaspoons onto wax paper. Cool. Makes 4 to 5 dozen.

Other Variations of No-Bake Oatmeal Cookies

You can add chunky peanut spread in place of your usual creamy & soft peanut spread for more texture with your cookies.

You can also combine oats & half a cup of grated coconut.
Another way to create a variation with your cookies would be to add oats with half a cup of crushed nuts.

A combination of oats with half a cup of berries and raisins are also good.

To create large and flat cookies, press your cookie dough mixture with either your fingers or using the backside of your spoon.

In making cookie squares or bars, you need to put your cookie dough mixture inside a square or rectangular pan that measures around 8 inches. Grease the pan with some butter or margarine. After pressing your dough in, wait until it’s firm then slice it according to your preferred shape and size.
