Valentines Day Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of butter; unsalted and softened
1.5 c of sugar (powdered)
1 pc of egg
1/2 teaspoon of almond extract
2.5 c of flour
2 c of sugar (powdered)
1 and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon cream (of tartar)
8 ounces of cream cheese; softened
Some milk
Instructions:
Using a big bowl (mixer), add in almond extract, vanilla, sugar, butter and egg. Blend mixture ’til it becomes fluffy and light. Blend in cream of tartar, flour, and baking soda ’til mixed.
Afterward, divide the dough into two. Store in container and cover. Place the doughs inside the fridge for 2-3 hours.
About 15 minutes prior to cooking, preheat the oven (350 degrees F). Lightly grease cookie sheets. Take out one of the refrigerated doughs (reserve the other one for later use); and roll it out (about 1/4-inch thick) onto a flat surface dusted with flour.
Use a cookie cutter to form Valentine’s shapes (e.g. hearts or Cupids). Put each cookie about two inches away from each other on the cookie sheets. Afterward, bake in the oven for about 7-8 minutes (or ’til edges turn golden brown).
Allow to cool.
