Orange Sour Cream Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
1-1/2 c of sugar (white)
1 c of shortening
8 oz of sour cream
2 fresh eggs
4 Tbsps of orange zest; grated
4 c of flour; sifted
2 Tbsps of flour (whole wheat); sifted
1 Tbsp of baking powder (Calumet)
1 tsp of soda
2 pinches of salt
For the frosting:
16 oz of confectioner’s sugar; sifted
1-1/8 tsps of vanilla
1/2 c of orange juice
1 Tbsp of water
Instructions:
Preheat the oven (350 degrees F). Grease the baking sheets.
Combine shortening, sugar, sour cream, and eggs inside a bowl; beat ’til creamy and smooth. Stir in half of the orange zest and half of the orange juice then beat thoroughly and set it aside. Combine the flours, soda, salt, and Calumet inside a bowl; slowly add into the creamy mixture then stir to incorporate well.
Scoop a teaspoonfuls of the batter and place onto the sheets 2-inches apart then bake inside the oven for 14-16 minutes. Set it aside to cool.
Combine confectioner, vanilla, orange juice, water, remaining orange juice, and orange zest; beat ’til it becomes smooth then spread over the cookie.

Lemon Coconut Balls Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 c of sugar
3/4 c of butter, creamed
1/2 tsp of vanilla
2 c of flour
1 pc of egg
A tsp of lemon extract
1/2 tsp of cream of tartar
1 c of coconut flakes
For Frosting:
A tsp of lemon rind; grated
2 c of sugar (powdered)
2 Tbsps of juice (lemon)
1/16 tsp of salt
1/4 c of butter; creamed
Instructions:
Cream the sugar and butter together ’til fluffy and add the egg, lemon extract and vanilla. Add the coconut, tartar and flour. Then roll dough into 1-inch balls and arrange on ungreased baking sheets. Bake in oven (350 degrees F) for 8 to 10 minutes, ’til light brown.
To create the frosting for this cookie, blend 1/4 c of butter, 1 tsp of grated lemon peel, a dash of salt, 2 c of powdered sugar and 2 Tbsps lemon juice using mixer or spoon. Frost cookies.

Orange Butter Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp of orange zest; grated
1 tsp of lemon zest; grated
1 c of butter (unsalted); softened
1 c of sugar (white)
1 fresh egg
2 c of flour; sifted
1/4 c of orange juice
1/4 tsp of salt
Instructions:
Mix the lemon and orange zests with the butter. Add in sugar and salt; mix well. Add in egg and juice then add the flour; stir to incorporate well. Refrigerate until slightly hard.
Shape the dough into an inch sized balls and place on the cooking sheets 2-inches apart from the others. Bake inside the oven at 375 degrees F (for about 10 to 12 minutes).

Applesauce-Lemon Glazed Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c shortening
1 tsp of baking soda
2 c of applesauce (chunky); well-drained
2 pcs egg
1 tsp of salt
1/2 c of coffee (cold)
1 tsp of nutmeg
2 c of sugar (brown);packed
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 c of nuts; chopped
1 tsp of cloves
3.5 c of flour
1 c of raisins; sliced
For Frosting:
1/2 tsp of peel from a lemon;grated
1/3 c of margarine/butter
3 c of sugar (powdered)
1.5 tsp of lemon juices
2 to 4 tbsps of hot water
Instructions:
In large mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar & shortening. Add in applesauce and coffee. Then, add the rest of the ingredients (except for frosting ingredients) then stir to blend.
Place in covered container inside refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hrs. Preheat your oven at 400 degrees F. Arrange balled tablespoonfuls of dough 2-inches apart on to slightly greased baking sheet.
Then, bake 9-12 mins or till it becomes firm when pressed. Move to cooling racks.
To make frosting, get a saucepan and soften butter. Add in sugar, lemon peeling and juice. Pour tablespoonfuls of water and stir until syrupy and thick.
Since applesauce varies in thickness, do a test batch of cookies. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of flour if it expands a lot.

Lemon Krispies Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of sugar (white)
2 c of flour (all-purpose)
3/4 tsp of baking soda
3/4 c of shortening
2 packs instant mix for pudding (lemon,3 oz)
3 eggs
a pinch of salt
Instructions:
Sift the flour, salt and soda. Cream the shortening, then pour pudding mix and sugar. Cream ’til fluffy and light. Add the eggs, mixing well.
Add the dry mixture to the creamy mixture and blend well. Drop dough on greased cookie sheets. Preheat oven (375 degrees F). Bake krispies (8-10 minutes).

Lemon Raisin Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
A tsp of baking soda
2 c of flour (all-purpose)
1 c of shortening
1.5 c of sugar (white)
2 pcs of eggs
2 tsps of lemon (extract)
1/4 c of lemon juice
1 c of oats (rolled)
1 c of raisins
1/2 tsp of salt
Instructions:
Preheat the oven (350 degrees F). Prepare two baking sheets by lightly greasing it. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the lemon (extract and juice) with eggs, sugar and shortening. Mix ’til well-blended. Add salt, flour and baking soda; Add raisins and oats.
Drop the dough in spoonfuls, two-inch apart from each other, on baking sheets. Put into oven and bake in 12-15 minutes. Transfer cookies on racks for cooling time.

Lemonade Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of butter; creamed
2 pcs of eggs
1 c of sugar
3 c of flour; sifted
1 can lemonade (frozen, 6 ozs); thawed
1 tsp of baking soda
powder sugar
Instructions:
Cream sugar and butter. Drop the eggs; beating ’til fluffy and light. Sift baking soda together with flour. Pour flour as well as 1/2 c of concentrated lemonade alternately to first mixture.
In tablespoonfuls, drop the dough on ungreased baking sheets, 2″ apart. Bake (400 degree F) in eight minutes. While cookies are warm, brush it with the rest of the concentrated lemonade and sprinkle with powder sugar.

Lemon Honey Coolers Recipe
Ingredients:
2.5 c of flour; sifted
1/4 c of honey
1/2 c of sugar
1/2 c of vegetable shortening
1 pc of egg
1 Tbsp of lemon zest; grated
1 Tbsp of lemon juice
a tsp of baking powder
a pinch of salt
Instructions:
Sift baking powder, salt and flour together. Blend sugar and shortening together ’til well-creamed; add juice and rind, honey and egg; beat the mixture well and slowly pour dry mixture. Prepare cookie sheet (or waxed paper) then put mixture on top, turning into 1.5″ thick roll.
Wrap mixture with the paper, then chill for the night. You can also put it in freezer within hours. Slice rolls into 1/8″ thick, then arrange on top of greased cookie sheet. Lightly add dashes of sugar.
